Suddenly I feel less useless. Thank you for the motivation. Now to actually Get Home to work on it.

Working overnight, and decide to take a quick peak at the thread in case someone has some more help. See Major portions of the mod seemingly solved WITHOUT ME.

Why am I even here.

I assume you mean a recipe for building the Ball mall, because I was referring to the gunpowder recipe; I have to make sure the Ball mill works properly first. However mentioning furniture seems to be my next goal, see this thread:

Thats interesting, I will test the "wait a bit" scenario tomorrow when I'm off work. Gotta love 14 hours straight monday overnight. Anyways, I have moved a few times before, but maybe its several turns or maybe i should tele far away and walk back?

Well see now if I had truly understood the concept of psuedo furniture, I would have used that instead. Cloning a cvd machine obviously wasnt working, so far anyways.

So, if anyone is still tracking the my SHTF mod, you may have noticed with several peoples help, I was able to get the ball mill to work in game.
It works in the recipe only as a carried item. Now, I tried using a cvd machine in game but using the terrain editor via the Debug menu, but diamond recipes won't work with it. So, that tells me a few things and leaves a few questions too:

Q1) Does the terrain editor not properly "cheat" in terrain or furniture to be used as a cvd machine should?
Q2) Does the recipe for diamond items require a "legit found" cvd machine?

Q3) Does the cvd machine even work as it is supposed to; i.e. standing next to an actual terrain cvd machine allows you to craft diamond items?
Q4) Since I can't find any proper usage or discussion concerning the cvd machine, has anyone actually properly used one to confirm its use as a static object?

And lastly, someone more towards my mod direction:
Q5)If a static terrain feature usable in a recipe is Not actually possible and the cvd is broken in a sense, would it be easier to simple make an insanely heavy "item" and give it a non-bug description unlike the cvd machine "item" and use that for gunpowder crafting?

Finally an update. (About time Karicter, you asshole.)

Update to:

Current Visual Update

Gunpowder will need:
1. Static version: Ball mill and chemistry set (which will actually be mobile like the hand press & die.
|||\ .

Proposed new Recipes:
Gunpowder = Black gunpowder+Graphite+Ammonia+Ball mill (Nearby)
|||\ .

What does this mean?
I finally got the source code to accept a new object: the Ball mill, as well as built the recipe to require said ball mill in making gunpowder. However it reads the ball mill as an item only, I need to work on getting it to read like a cvd machine

I think the issue is git isnt in the directory that the cataclysm.cbp is. i assume ill need a few DLLs or lib files of some kind from git in a similar fashion to SDL2, or g++ for Code::Blocks to build or compile properly then?

Disregard, Code::Block was being an asshole and went to some kind of minimalist view that was erasing all the tabs inside the main window. Never been more pissed at aprogram. Minus MinGW of course.

Anyways, now I should be able to just build it right? It is saying it can't find "git". I'm assuming its trying to compile via git, which is annoying since I went through all that work to get the proper pathing for g++ to work and all that.

First, it just now dawned on me that I was already using Code:blocks, which is what you gave us.
Secondly although I open the CataclysmWin.cbp it does nothing, opens no files, displays nothing except to open Code:blocks and thats it. Is it corruptered or is there something I'm missing?
And lastly, how does this help with compiling, I thought trying to use code:blocks was only for editing the json files?

Link broken?

Also I hear you, i have just about given up. I got everything done and was even able to get it to compile, however when I try to open the .exe it gives me a 0xc000007b error. Fuck me.

Other video games are a terrible source of information about weapons.  laser-guided munitions aren't useful at the ranges we deal with in dda.
To expand on this, since this is a much smarter way of explaining away laser guidance, a fuel-powered projectile is moving at very fast speeds, granted not sound-barrier breaking, but still too fast to simply snake around like, well a snake, and impact a target WITHIN 100 meters when your target is more than a 50 meter correction. Even Half-Life had it Somewhat correct; Ever notice how you had to exaggerate swinging the laser out wide if you missed the target in order to correct the path? Adjustments on a projectile in reality of that nature aren't magic. Though take a look at this and maybe someday they will be:

Lol well firstly that was a crack at basement 20something year olds;
I'm married, have a house, a son, pets, and plenty of real life guns to entertain myself not including reversing the barrel.
Secondly, they do in fact have SMGs, you're thinking of a Copbot.
Thirdly, come on man, don't kill the joke with technicalities.

You hear a whoop-whoop! to the north-east.
You see a SecuBot to the north-east
You hear "Stop having fun perp!" from the north-east.
You hear "Put down the entertaining rocket launcher perp!" from the north-east.
You are Stunned!
Secubot has tazed you!
Secu bot fires it's 9MM Submachine gun.
Your L. Leg is hurt!
You hear "Get a job and move out of our basement, your father has given up trying to help you succeed in life and I just don't know if you're ever going to find the right girl if you continue like this!" from the north-east.

Really commit suicide? Y/N

You obviously haven't met Mr. Eyebot or Mrs. Nagbot, I mean Secubot.

The answer is a T.O.W missile. Wire guidance is close enough.
