Cataclysm-DDA-LUA is collection of LUA mods for Dark Days Ahead.

Contents:
  • dda-lua - shared library mod for easier creation of LUA mods;
  • dda-lua-achievements - adds achievements:
    • not implemented yet.
       
  • dda-lua-fun - adds fun:
    • `nationality` - select nationality on game start and receive some bonus items.
       
  • dda-lua-items - adds items:
    • `atomic_entity_scanner`- highlights items and creatures around player character;
    • `atomic_earthquake_generator` - makes rubbles around player character.
       
  • dda-lua-mapgen - adds mapgen:
    • not implemented yet.
       
  • dda-lua-skills - adds skills:
    • `athletics` - gives speed bonus based on `squares_walked`.
       
  • dda-lua-traits - adds traits:
    • `TOURETTE` - shouts bad words when not under medication (`xanax`);
    • `NIGHTMARES` - you see bad dreams when not under medication (`ambien`);
    • `NUDIST` - +2 to all attributes when naked.

Description:

Walls have a chance to collapse, windows and doors can be damaged when building is generated. Also adds some graffiti to the walls.

This mod is WIP and probably rather unbalanced. All, but several buildings from \data\json\mapgen were updated. I will update more in future versions.

Warning: Please be aware that additional lua mapgen is rather slow, especially when logging is enabled.

Technical info:
  • Mod utilizes LUA functionality in overmap mapgen (see https://github.com/CleverRaven/Cataclysm-DDA/blob/master/doc/MAPGEN.md#25-lua).
  • You can find mod logs in \data\mods\ZSLua_DegradeBuildings\lua\ (ZSLua_DegradeBuildings.log and mapgen_degrade_building.report).
  • One can use \data\mods\ZSLua_DegradeBuildings\lua_tools\InjectMapgenJson.lua to process json-files with mapgens from other mods.

Mod description:

This mod is an extension to vanilla DDA, some mods bundled with it and also for several third-party mods. With this mod enabled you won't need to reload your sewing tools with threads/fiber/sinews anymore when crafting textile items - just have it available in your possession (inventory or nearby).

List of known issues in latest version:
  • Sewing tools still need to be loaded with thread for repairing clothes;
  • Sewing tools still need to be loaded with thread for modifying clothes;
  • Sewing tools still need to be loaded with thread for crafting non-modified recipes;
  • Disassembling some cloth items can give you sinews.

2016-12-18 - Release where thread charges was restored for all sewing tools - Latest version

  • Restored thread charges for all sewing tools, so they can modify textile items now. Thread charges also will be used in repairing and crafting textile items from non-modified recipes.

2016-12-17 - Release where sewing tools can repair textile items

  • Removed charges_per_use from vanilla sewing tools, so they can repair textile items now (without using threads though).

2016-12-16 - Release with third-party sub-mods

  • Removed thread charges from 5 vanilla items (bone needle, curved needle, wooden needle, sewing kit and tailor's kit);
  • Added sub-mods which change 23 recipes from 2 third-party mods to use new qualities and threads from inventory;
  • New sewing tool (sewing machine) with sewing quality of 2 is necessary for crafting high-level gear in one of third-party mods.

  • Fixed rag recipe;

  • Updated 390 recipes from vanilla DDA to use new qualities and threads from inventory.
