I kinda want an X-COM style combat mode for that. Recently found out there's an ASCII version of it anyway.

Surely, an underground laboratory must have used lights in it and probably has a generator.

General Discussion / Hard Sci-Fi

I've recently read Dragon's Egg and I found it really amazing. Can you suggest similar books, or games? By similar I mean sci-fi, that actually has research and reality behind it.

Like match NPC's, and stuff.

First he tried to eat a none, then I bought that, then he tried to eat some 5.56 ammo, I bought that too, now he's trying to eat a gallon jug...

It blocks the download at home, it blocks it here, where I can't turn it off, it's kinda annoying.

What do you think of it?

I expected annoying kids, I expected pros from 2.x, what I didn't expect for my first play was:
Player 1: Нет.
Player 2: Да.
Player 1: Нет.
Player 2: Да!
Player 1: Нет.
Player 2: Нет.
Player 1: Да.
Player 2: Xaxa!

(That's all I understood from the voicechat.)

I mean zombies, that are not magically moving dead bodies, but infected, raginf humans, like in 28 Days/Weeks later, or L4D?

Can we get a "move, you pussy", or a slow down to NPC speed button?

I can safely do about 40 km/h irl, and I'm not even biking often. Also, slowing down to walking speed from a passenger is just stupid. I'd suggest increasing the bikes' safe speed to at least 50 km/h, I've escaped from real dogs in real life before, it's weird I can'd do something in a game, that I can do irl, it's usually the other way around.

Something like TeamViewer, but not that low quality and laggy.

I'm not sure if it would be as practical in practice as it is in my mind, but what about bigger tiles, I mean like 3x3, or 5x5. The Player would take up 1 tile and it would be easier to differentiate between smaller and bigger things visually. Roads could also have other, than 90° turns, maybe serpentines, higways and something more interesting, than straight road.

I can't even start a new game.
