Jared noticed that it was beginning to get darker, soon he'll need to set up a campsite, but where?

after looking at his map, and referencing it with what he knew of the area already. Making camp in the woods wouldn't do. He didn't have any of that gear with him... he'd have to take shelter in the nearby farmhouse.

With the now clean mosin, jared cleared the house from normal zeds and a survivor zed that apparently was the former occupant of this place. It had a nice set up with lots of stored food, many seeds for planting, and tools tools. In the nightstand of the main room jared found a scope and a note that read "note to self, need to find actual binoculars soon, using a scope isn't the same." Jared then mounted the scope on mosin and went to bed.

He must not have secured the area well enough or maybe made more noise than he thought... or just was unlucky because he woke to find a zombie in his face. Without thinking he raised his hands to fend off the first attack, only to find Mosin there in the zombies mouth. Yesterday coming back to him he gave the zom a good push and....

... Pulled Mosin's trigger, instantly killing the zombie and splattering it's brains on the far wall. Jared stood and reloaded Mosin's before taking inventory of his surroundings. The window next to the bed had been shattered, Jared realized that he should have boarded it before he slept, but, hearing dozens of nearby moans around the house he decides that that's the least of his worries.

He quickly got a duffle bag, put it on along with a survivor tool belt and a few cans in the fridge and took mosin and its ammo out of there. "Move north" he said to himself, "just head to the north..."

as he left the forest edge he noticed another hoard come into site. East. East looked like his best chance. He'd have to stick to the forest/forest edge. He was about to consider himself clear when he cought a glimpse of an antlered horror in the far distance through the foliage.

Jared was a strong man, he could keep mosin steady. He was used to the recoil and had learned to use mosin right. With the newly aquired scope, he aimed and with his confidence and steadiness he killed the damned moose before it even saw him.The shot drew the horde so he decided to continue east. He then noticed that under the infected moose was a corpse, it looked like a scientist and in it's pocket was an id card. He grabbed it and continue east eating a can of tuna he had grabbed from the farm house. He then saw a lab in the distance and looking at his new id he decide to go towards it. Mosin knew where this was going.

When Jared got there He realized he might not have enough ammo for ALL the turrets and anything inside the lab that needed to be dealt with. He'd have to plan carefully, or come back with more ammo. Or just take multiple trips into the lab.

Jared decided he will scout inside as much as possible without fighting to much and take some loot. He would return for the rest when he had more ammo and carrying capacity. So with that jared to out his id, passed through the card reader and *beep* he was in...

Only to see a horrid mix of machine and zombie lunge for him. He was barely able to get Mosin up in time to block those nashing teeth. That was getting to be a bad habit.... But did and gave him a good shove and shot the zom in the face. He quickly ran inside, closeing the door behind him to deter any hordes that might have heard that noise and got away from the door. He opened the first side door he came to and....

STORY MODE OFF:(OH thats no fun >.< that was perfect setup for dodging turret fire via cartwheels or something GRR)

STORY MODE ON: Only to run face first into another cyborg. Luckily its lower intelligence did not understand being hit with something it couldn't see, and he was able to back off butt it in the face and follow up with a knife before it started unknowingly hugging him. Now to...

The next room. Inside was a horror of a thing. Jarred nor Mosin could tell if was more robotic or undead. It's face was 1/4 zombie 3/4 cyborg. It uttered a horrendous roar and charged Jarred.

In a uniquely unlike him "maneuver" Jared tripped and fell mosin butt-side-down....just perfectly to bayonet the monstrosity in the face.
