I would suggest trying a narrow (1-tile wide) vehicle for maximum speed and acceleration. The air resistance (K aerodynamics in vehicle stats) gets worse as width increases. Even side mirrors count, so leave them out as well. Would love to know the speed and acceleration differences of a 5-tile wide and a 1-tile wide vehicle, both having the same mass, or otherwise study the effects of K aerodynamics.
Would a 1-tile wide vehicle pierce deeper into a building if piloted at mach 1 speed and above? ...I guess, if you hit a window or a door, and not a concrete wall. Also, add a spiked plating or a spiked ram to the front for maximum collision damage.
We've witnessed so much progress being done here, stimulating even further ideas, and so, much more work remains. The work of science is never done.
