Modified rifle can drop to 45 dispersion, but then you still have the penalty for low dexterity and perception, arm encumbrance, and low marksmanship.
In unmodified DDA, perception is a dump stat - even if you want to be a sniper, you want to take stats out of perception and put it in dexterity. The post-cataclysm world belongs to strong and dexterous blind idiot gods.

Cool, making sure it wasn't just me... the good thing is a fix usually comes out fairly quickly, compared to most games at least!

So can you mix and match power armor helmets and suits?(Like heavy Parmor mk2 suit with a light Parmor helmet) Can you activate the helmet, or is it just the suit that activates?

When you compare items, why is the higher value for an items price in red instead of green? Is it like that for a reason or is this a bug?

My guess is if two items have identical characteristics but one is more expensive, procuring it from a trader is objectively worse that the cheaper option. Honestly though the price rarely matters much.

What is a good way to bring up fabrication? I have some high level books, but I'm too low to read them (fab 3).

What exactly "less sleep" mutation does?
Does it decrease the speed at which you GAIN fatigue?
Or does it increase the speed at which you LOSE fatigue when sleeping?

Huh. I was always under the impression perception works the same as dexterity for range attacks, while perception ALSO increases your  sight radius in low-light conditions, thus perception being superior since it allows you to avoid enemies altogether.

Seconded. It's why eyewear decreases perception in terms of ranged attacks (as well as the obvious) - if it didn't matter the difference would be minimal.

For what i have seen as an elf-a threshold, it does the second, you can be tired (as in the tired status) and still sleep the same as if you were sleeping at regular intervals.
while the tireless mutations does the first (you can be at minimum 24hrs without sleep until the tired status appear)

They use somewhat different math. And at the moment, dexterity is strictly better at the job, in every way. I have opened an issue for that, but apparently that's "working as intended".
In short, perception only really affects attacks made at perfect aim AND affects it less than dexterity affects attacks made at ANY aim. Further - the effect of low dexterity is much more "stable" numerically, meaning that dexterity effect is much more likely to prevent you from sniping than low perception (except if you have got 0 dispersion scope, 0 eye encumbrance, and are only making perfect aim shots).
Dexterity also affects aim speed and boosts melee combat.

If you want perception, just take night vision trait and take dexterity instead. In unmodded DDA, perception is a dump stat. So is intelligence, by the way.
