Oh my god, you did not just suggest a code fix based off the appearance of the GUI.

I'm not a programmer, and I can not advise the author, how to write code. It was just an observation. Sorry if it offended you.

I apologize. Just try to avoid suggesting how to fix things.

You can tell me what needs fixing, what is an issue for you, what you like or dislike, and what you would like to see. But suggestions for how to fix things should be limited to very transparent issues, where you know how it is implemented, so your suggestion doesn't come off as a smug report.

Here we go, 0.4 Alpha
Version: "Is it sad I find programming fun?"

Changes:
Numerous internal improvements.
Added an "Import Tiles" button to Tile Chooser, you can now import an entire image full of tiles, rather then one at a time.
Added an "Import..." menu item to file. This allows you to import another tileset and merge it with your current one. It currently supports two automated conflict resolution methods "ours" and "theirs", which determines which tiles to use when two ids conflict.

You can ask some of the options?

1. The program should not change in the index and tiles.png tile_config.json, or at least offer the possibility to refuse.
2. The program should not change the size tiles.png, or at least offer the possibility to refuse.
3. When sorting changes only tile_config.json, indexes are stored.
4. Items with no tiles are highlighted.
5. When selecting the object in the right window shows the index, if it exists.
6. Slightly increase the size of images in the preview. Can not see the difference between the almost identical tile.

Preserving the indexes or size of either the graphic or the json files is not on my to do list. So that is a NO to 1,2,3 and 5.

4. Items without any tiles can be highlighted and is a decent suggestion.

6. Increasing the preview size is possible, but not (easily) for the Existing Tiles area in the Tile Chooser.

Go for version 0.5.
Version: "What was I doing again?"

Changes:
Added a "merge identical tiles" function, this compares all the tile images to each other and removes duplicates.
Implemented the "add missing tiles" function in the edit menu, searches through the json files tor missing types. Vehicles parts are not yet supported (they are a bit more complex).
Items without images are now highlighted in red on the id list.

Next Planned:
Warn about duplicate tiles ids when editing.
Merge all file chooser last folder selection.
Options dialog to set location of Cataclysm-DDA, which will save to an options file.

Is it possible to export a tile? Great work so far by the way though.

Exporting isn't hard, it is just finding a place for it in the UI that is the problem.

If you are hinting at where in the UI to put it, I figured that out awhile ago, I just haven't gotten around to updating this yet.

I was hinting that it would be nice to give the site some love, and your tileset editor.

Here we go, with 0.6
Version: "Five six, Pick up sticks"

Download Here

Changes:
Made the Tile Chooser slightly more intuitive. This arrangement will also make exporting tiles later a possibility (not in this version).
Added an options dialog/file. You should set your cataclysm directory, but I don't require it.
All file file browsing dialogs are now linked, where ever you leave off with one, will be picked up by the others.
If you type an id into tile_chooser that is already used, the text will turn red. This tells you if you are trying to use a name that is already in use.

Notes:
The program will not prevent you from using two entries with the same id, but if you do the behavior is undefined. That is to say, I don't know offhand what it will do if you do it, it'll probably save just fine, but cataclysm might puke.

Also, can I get a sticky for this? If not that's fine.

Warning, there is a known bug that can cause all images for an entry to be replaced with one of the given images (usually broken).

I am working on figuring out what is causing this. (I do have a hunch however)
