Dark Cobaltbleu [Defeat means friendship!]
« on: May 23, 2014, 11:23:00 AM »

Its said that in the moment of death, your memories are taken away and your essence prepared for rebirth. And yet that didn't happen, not to me at least. I awoke here, not dead, not alive, cursed to wander these bleak lands for the rest of eternity. But I won't let this be my end. I will escape this prison not mattering the cost.

First things first though. Who are you? What is your name? What kind of hero are you? A swordsman? A knight? A sorcerer? Perhaps nothing but a poor peasant? Choose wisely.

You are not constrained by my suggestions, you can literally be any class of hero, really, you name it.

We shall be a Wizard! With a beginner wand. Because we need difference to the first one!

Ooh! Ooh! Can we have throwing potions of acid with our wizard? We must corrode the monsters to doom!

... If we're named Jericho, can we be a cowboy wizard? A spellslinger?

Well you are going to be a mage and it seems that you can choose between:

Ooh! Ooh! Can we have throwing potions of acid with our wizard? We must corrode the monsters to doom!

Which would be closer to a thaumaturge. A thaumaturge specializes in the manipulation of the existing physical reality, and are able to switch, manipulate and amplify already existing properties and forces. The class is very flexible, but a lot of what you can do depends on the environment around you.

... If we're named Jericho, can we be a cowboy wizard? A spellslinger?

Firearms in this universe are still stuck at flintlocks and muskets, but there's nothing preventing you from carrying one of those and being a traditional mage, and you can use the magic to greatly modify what you gun can do. This class would be a way stronger ranged fighter at the cost of being much less flexible.

How about a (don't judge me) revolver shaped wand? :3
You could insert magical foci as the "cylinder".
